Organize Clan Members with Two Highlight Groups

Reviewing Clash of Clans war statistics is not always only about ranking members from highest to lowest. Clan leaders often need to keep different groups in view at the same time: a possible CWL lineup, members who need a follow-up, or players being considered for a particular role.

ClansHQ added a second member highlight group so leaders could apply two separate visual categories while reviewing the War and CWL tables. The groups do not assign a fixed status to a member. They are flexible markers that can match the way each clan is managed.

Why use more than one highlight group?

A single highlighted list can be useful, but it can also mix together members selected for very different reasons. Two groups let a leader separate those purposes without changing the underlying clan data.

For example, a leader might use the groups to distinguish:

• Members being considered for different war or CWL lineups
• Trusted members and members whose recent activity needs review
• Separate teams, Town Hall ranges, or internal roster categories
• Members who need attention for different reasons
• Any other distinction that fits the clan's own workflow

These are examples, not prescribed meanings. Group 1 and Group 2 are deliberately neutral. ClansHQ does not label either group as good, bad, selected, or excluded, and a clan leader can change how the groups are used whenever needed.

How Group 1 and Group 2 work

The highlight groups are available in both the War and CWL tables. Selecting a member for one group removes that member from the other, so each row has one clear assignment at a time.

In the current interface:

• A left-click on a member row toggles Group 1
• A right-click opens the context action for Group 2
• Group 1 uses a bookmark icon with the alternate neutral highlight
• Group 2 uses a pin icon with the primary neutral highlight

The distinct icons and row treatments help the two sets remain recognizable while a leader scans detailed Clan War or Clan War League results. Highlight assignments are saved for the relevant clan and table context, so they remain useful across review sessions on the same device.

See the member distribution at a glance

At the bottom of the War table, ClansHQ displays:

Member count: # • Unassigned: # • Group 1: # • Group 2: # • War Count: #

The CWL table displays the same member distribution without War Count:

In both tables, Member count, Unassigned, Group 1, and Group 2 summarize the members currently represented in the table and how they are distributed between the two highlight groups. The War table additionally shows War Count, which indicates how many wars are represented by the currently available table data.

By keeping these totals visible alongside the tables, ClansHQ helps Clash of Clans clan leaders check their member organization at a glance while reviewing War and CWL analytics.

Practical ways to organize clan performance review

Preparing a potential lineup

Clan leadership tools should support a decision without pretending to make it. A leader can highlight one set of likely starters and use the other for alternatives while comparing participation and performance. This keeps the categories visible next to the Clash of Clans War or CWL statistics that inform the final lineup.

Following up on participation

Highlight groups can also separate members who missed an attack from members who need a different kind of follow-up. The visual distinction makes it easier to return to those rows after reviewing the rest of the table.

A highlight is only an organizational aid. It does not explain why an attack was missed and should not replace communication with clan members.

Applying a clan's own categories

Different clans prioritize different things. Competitive clans, social clans, farming clans, and mixed rosters may all interpret the same statistics differently. By leaving both groups open-ended, ClansHQ allows leaders to apply internal categories without forcing a universal definition onto them.

Highlights alongside later ClansHQ tools

The second group expanded the original highlighting behavior introduced with the ClansHQ clan analytics launch. Later updates added Summary View, which carries the same member groups into a more compact performance overview, and Table Settings, which provides control over group position, formatting, and synchronization.

Those later controls make highlights more adaptable, but the central purpose remains unchanged: giving clan leaders a simple way to bring their own organization into clan performance tracking.
