Summary View for Clash of Clans War and CWL Analysis

Detailed Clash of Clans war statistics are valuable when a leader needs to inspect a particular attack or round. They can be slower to compare when the question is broader: who has participated consistently, which members are missing attacks, or where do attack and defense results show a pattern?

ClansHQ introduced Summary View to make that broader review easier. The first release brought Summary to the CWL table on July 3, 2026. Summary later became available for regular Clan Wars as well, so the current ClansHQ War and CWL tables both offer Summary and Breakdown modes.

Summary and Breakdown serve different questions

The two modes use the same recorded activity but organize it for different kinds of clan war analysis.

Summary for comparison

Summary View gives each member one consolidated row. It reduces the amount of event-level information on screen and focuses on calculated indicators across the available War or CWL records.

This layout helps leaders:

• Compare clan member performance more quickly
• Review participation across multiple events
• Notice missed attacks and broader performance patterns
• Sort by a relevant summary statistic
• Keep highlighted member groups visible during lineup review

Summary is useful for deciding where to investigate. It provides an overview, not a complete explanation of a member's results.

Breakdown for event-level context

Breakdown retains the individual War or CWL columns. A leader can use it to see the specific event or round behind a total, average, or missed attack.

That distinction matters. A summary statistic may identify an unusual result, but the detailed breakdown can show whether it came from one matchup, a missed attack, or a longer sequence. ClansHQ keeps both modes available so leaders can move from comparison to context without leaving the table.

CWL Summary View

The current CWL Summary presents member-level indicators across the selected Clan War League season. Its exact table labels include:

• Avg. New Stars
• Missed, shown with a count and rate
• Net Gain
• Attack rates for 3 ★ %, 2 ★ %, 1 ★ %, and 0 ★ %
• Defense rates for 3 ★ %, 2 ★ %, 1 ★ %, and 0 ★ %

These columns help a leader compare offensive results, missed attacks, and defensive outcomes across CWL rounds. The Breakdown mode remains available for round-by-round Stars, Destruction %, and New Stars Obtained.

Because the release history matters, these current calculations should not be read as a claim that every label or formula was identical in the first July 3 version. Summary View continued to be refined after its initial CWL release.

War Summary View

Regular War Summary was added after the initial CWL Summary release. Today it consolidates performance across the available wars and presents:

• Avg. Stars
• Avg. New Stars
• Missed, with a count and rate
• Net Gain
• Attack star rates from zero through three stars
• Defense star rates from zero through three stars

Leaders can sort the summary to approach the same roster from different angles. Breakdown mode then provides the individual war columns and allows the displayed data to switch among Stars, Destruction %, New Stars Obtained, Town Hall Comparison, and Map Comparison.

This is particularly useful when preparing a war lineup. Summary can narrow the review to members who warrant attention, while Breakdown can supply the individual-match context needed before reaching a decision.

Reading summary statistics responsibly

Clan performance tracking works best when numbers are treated as evidence rather than verdicts. Town Hall matchups, assigned targets, war strategy, connection issues, and other circumstances can affect a result. A percentage or average cannot capture all of that context.

ClansHQ helps leaders organize the available data, but the leader still decides what it means for their clan. Moving between Summary and Breakdown makes it easier to pair general patterns with specific results.

Search for your clan on ClansHQ, open the War or CWL table, and switch between Summary and Breakdown to compare the overview with its underlying results.
