Delete Group 1 or Group 2 Highlights Separately in ClansHQ

Clear one saved Clash of Clans member highlight group in the ClansHQ War or CWL Table while preserving the other group's assignments and settings.

ClansHQ member highlights help Clash of Clans clan leaders organize War and Clan War League review. Group 1 and Group 2 can represent different lineup candidates, follow-up lists, teams, or any other categories that fit a clan's workflow.

When only one of those categories becomes outdated, deleting every saved highlight is unnecessary. ClansHQ now provides dedicated Delete Group 1 highlights and Delete Group 2 highlights buttons in the War and CWL Table Settings.

Clear one highlight group without deleting the other

Each group section now includes its own delete action:

  • Delete Group 1 highlights removes the saved Group 1 member assignments for the current table
  • Delete Group 2 highlights removes the saved Group 2 member assignments for the current table
  • Delete all highlights remains available when both groups should be cleared together

Deleting one group preserves the other group's highlighted members. It also leaves the underlying Clash of Clans clan, War, CWL, attack, defense, and member data unchanged.

This is useful when two highlight groups serve different purposes. For example, a leader can clear a temporary follow-up group after reviewing missed attacks while preserving a longer-lived CWL lineup group.

Delete controls are scoped to the current table

The confirmation dialog identifies the group and table being cleared. If Delete Group 1 highlights is selected from War Table Settings, the action clears the saved Group 1 assignments in the War table. The equivalent action in CWL Table Settings applies to the CWL table.

This table-specific scope helps prevent a cleanup action in one analysis view from silently becoming a broader data deletion. The confirmation also states that the saved highlight removal cannot be undone.

When Sync War and CWL highlights is enabled for that group, ClansHQ applies the deletion through the configured synchronization behavior so the corresponding saved group remains consistent. Group 1 and Group 2 keep their own synchronization settings.

Buttons activate only when there is something to delete

A group-specific delete button is disabled when that group has no saved highlights. The Delete all highlights button is disabled when neither group contains saved assignments.

These states make the available scope visible before a leader opens the confirmation. They also reduce the chance of selecting an action that would make no change.

How to delete one saved highlight group

To clear Group 1 or Group 2:

  1. Open your clan dashboard on ClansHQ.
  2. Choose the War or CWL table.
  3. Open Table Settings.
  4. Find the Group 1 or Group 2 section.
  5. Select Delete Group 1 highlights or Delete Group 2 highlights.
  6. Review the named group and table in the confirmation, then select Delete group.

Use Delete all highlights at the bottom of Table Settings only when both saved groups for that table should be removed.

Highlight deletion does not change table configuration

Deleting a group's saved member assignments does not remove the group itself. Group 1 and Group 2 remain available for new highlights after the cleanup.

The action also does not change unrelated Table Settings such as:

  • Pin location
  • Hide highlighted-member formatting
  • Sync War and CWL highlights
  • Exclude latest war from calculations
  • War or CWL Impact options

This separation lets leaders reset membership in one visual group without rebuilding the rest of their review configuration.

Keep Clash of Clans roster review organized

Highlight groups are intentionally flexible. Their meaning can change between regular Wars, CWL seasons, roster planning sessions, and follow-up reviews. Individual group deletion makes that flexibility easier to manage: remove the category that is finished and retain the one that is still useful.
