ClansHQ automatically checks eligible clans for new Clan War, Clan War League (CWL), and Capital Raid events every four hours. To qualify, activate your clan dashboard, keep your clan's war log public, and use Refresh clan, Start tracking, or Update data within each 31-day window. Once an event is found, ClansHQ follows it in the background and saves available results.

Here is what you need to do, what happens automatically, and what the feature does not promise.

Set up automatic tracking in three steps

  1. Find and activate your clan. Search for your clan by tag. If it has not been activated, select Activate clan dashboard. No ClansHQ account is required.
  2. Keep your clan's war log public. Automatic discovery requires a public war log. This requirement applies to automatic War, CWL, and Capital Raid discovery. If you cannot change the setting, ask your clan leader or a co-leader.
  3. Use any qualifying action within 31 days. Refresh your clan with the circular control beside its name (Refresh clan), select Start tracking for an activity, or select Update data for an activity already being tracked. Any of these can renew the eligibility window; you do not need to use all three.

Opening the dashboard or reloading the page alone does not renew this window. Activation counts, and all three actions above request a clan-information update. The window is renewed when that update succeeds. If the clan-information update fails, pressing a button alone does not renew it.

There is no separate automatic-tracking switch to enable. An active dashboard with a public war log and a recent successful clan refresh is included in discovery automatically.

What happens after setup?

ClansHQ runs discovery at 00:00, 04:00, 08:00, 12:00, 16:00, and 20:00 UTC. For example, if a new event becomes available just after 08:00 UTC, the next scheduled check is at 12:00 UTC. You can use Start tracking on the relevant activity if you want to request tracking sooner.

For each eligible clan, ClansHQ checks War/CWL when neither is already being tracked. It checks untracked Capital Raid activity independently during its Raid Weekend discovery window. Existing trackers continue their work rather than being started again.

When an event is found, ClansHQ saves the available data and schedules follow-up checks around its transitions and completion. CWL tracking follows the available league rounds through the season. An available event that has already ended can be saved without starting an ongoing tracker.

This is automatic event discovery and scheduled collection, not a live feed of every attack. A four-hour discovery schedule does not mean every active event's attack totals refresh every four hours. Follow-up checks are arranged around event timing; use the activity's manual refresh control when you need a more recent snapshot, subject to its cooldown.

Discovery can be delayed by maintenance, request failures, or unavailable data. The schedule describes when checks are planned, not a guarantee that every event will be captured within four hours.

What does the 31-day window mean?

The window runs from activation or the latest successful clan-information update through Refresh clan, Start tracking, or Update data. It is not a reset on the first of each month. Thirty-one days covers the longest normal gap between the first day of one month and the first day of the next.

For example, a successful qualifying update on October 1 at 12:00 UTC keeps the clan within the discovery window through November 1 at 12:00 UTC. Use any of the three actions before that time to keep the window moving forward. You do not need to refresh daily.

If the clan falls outside that window, ClansHQ stops discovering new events for it. Events already being tracked can still finish. Use Refresh clan, Start tracking, or Update data again to renew eligibility for a subsequent discovery run when its clan-information update succeeds. Background discovery does not renew the window by itself.

Do I need to keep the app open or press Start tracking every time?

No. Once the requirements above are met, event discovery happens on the server. Closing your browser, switching devices, or going offline does not stop a tracker that has already started.

The manual controls remain useful when you want to start an available event before the next discovery run or refresh displayed information sooner. They are not a required action before every War, CWL season, or Raid Weekend.

Why automatic tracking helps clan leaders

A clan leader should be able to return to a useful record of available events without remembering to start a tracker before every battle. Automatic discovery reduces that repeated setup and helps build a more consistent basis for reviewing the clan's performance.

The value is in what you can do with the collected data. Review participation, compare member contributions, and inspect individual matchups before deciding what needs coaching. A result makes more sense alongside the attacks, opponents, and opportunities behind it.

ClansHQ brings those reviews into a free, ad-free Clash of Clans clan analytics dashboard, with no account required for normal lookup and browsing. The same dashboard works on phones, tablets, and desktops.

Automatic Clan War tracking and member statistics

For regular Clan Wars, use the War tracker to review available stars, destruction, new stars, attacks, defenses, and confirmed missed attacks. Summary helps compare members across the retrieved history; Breakdown lets you inspect the wars behind those totals.

If you want a focused monthly review, the War statistics month filter groups retrieved wars by their preparation-start month in UTC. Automatic collection and monthly analysis serve different purposes: collection builds the available record, while the month filter helps you examine part of that record.

A low average alone is not a complete explanation of a player's contribution. Check target difficulty, Town Hall context, missed attacks, and the size of the available sample. The historical War log guide explains how to read that history.

Automatic CWL tracking across league rounds

CWL reviews need round-level context. Participation, stars, new stars, destruction, and Net Gain can help leaders understand what happened across a league season rather than relying on a single attack.

Once CWL tracking starts, scheduled checks follow the available rounds. Open the CWL tracker guide for the available season and round views, then use Summary and Breakdown to move between member comparisons and individual results.

These statistics support lineup and coaching discussions. They do not automatically choose a roster or establish a player's value.

Automatic Capital Raid and Raid Weekend tracking

Capital Raid discovery runs alongside War/CWL discovery during ClansHQ's Raid Weekend window: Friday 07:00 UTC up to Monday 07:00 UTC. A clan already tracking War or CWL can still have its untracked Capital Raid checked. Raid tracking that has started can collect its final result after that window closes.

Use the Capital Raid tracker to review available member attacks, loot, Capital Gold contribution, and clan-level Raid Weekend results. The Raid Weekend analysis guide explains the views in more detail.

Automatic Capital Raid discovery currently shares the public-war-log requirement. A private war log excludes the clan from automatic discovery even when you are interested only in Raid Weekend results.

Game status and the season countdown

The navigation shows CoC is Under Maintenance when the cached game check reports maintenance. Automatic discovery waits and schedules another attempt. The CoC is Online label means that check is not reporting maintenance; it does not guarantee every data request will succeed.

The season countdown uses the cached Gold Pass season dates. It can continue during maintenance using the last successful dates. If dates have not arrived, it shows Season dates pending. When the saved season ends, it shows Waiting for next season until new dates are available.

Common questions about automatic Clash of Clans tracking

Is automatic tracking free?

Yes. ClansHQ is free and ad-free. Normal clan search, dashboard activation, and browsing do not require an account.

Can I automatically track a clan with a private war log?

No. The current automatic-discovery rule requires a public war log for all three activities: regular War, CWL, and Capital Raid.

Will visiting the dashboard once a month keep tracking enabled?

A visit alone does not renew eligibility. Use Refresh clan, Start tracking, or Update data within each 31-day window. All three request a clan-information update, and a successful update renews eligibility. There is no separate refresh requirement if one of the other actions has already updated the clan information.

Does automatic tracking recover every old war or missed event?

No. ClansHQ uses data available from the game and records it when its requests succeed. Activation does not guarantee a complete historical archive, and an event that was not captured may remain missing. Missing data should not be treated as proof that a player or clan did nothing.

Does the countdown mean the clan's CWL season ends at that time?

No. The navigation countdown uses Gold Pass season dates. War end times, CWL round timing, and Raid Weekend timing are separate.

Does automatic tracking make promotion or removal decisions?

No. It collects available evidence for leadership review. Use missed-attack and participation analysis alongside matchup context and conversations with your members.

Open your clan dashboard, activate it if needed, and use Refresh clan, Start tracking, or Update data to renew eligibility for automatic discovery.
